Circa 1720s - 1740s Set of Four George II Side Chairs

Appraised at $8,500 in 2010. 

Set of 4 English George II side chairs. Shaped crest rails with down turned and carved volutes and shaped backs with Vasiform splats with chamfered sides. Front cabriole legs with shaped returns with c-scrolls and terminate in pad feet. Back posts terminate in saber legs. Drop pad seat and shaped seat rail. Back legs joined by turned stretchers. Mahogany primary wood. 

Mark: Label on underside of pads has label from NY Upholstery Comapny.

Good, except one with shrinkage cracks and another with a replacement of one shoe. New blocks on seat rail interior.
